I don't think we need small minded self interested people making decisions to "regulate AI" from the perspective of "they took our jobs".
Such a narrow minded line of thinking, which is primarily what artists, philosophers and historians who criticize A.I. have been applying to this domain so far, doesn't bode well for their contributions in the future.
