The US has huge issues with laws that prioritize corporations over it's own citizens. This is the crux of the situation. I'm an artist who's work has trained AI without my permission. I don't have an issue with people wanting to use AI for non commercial shits and giggles, but the corporations coming for people's jobs and the proliferation of AI slop that is hoisted into websites with no option to remove it is breathtakingly exhausting.
