A) most of the ‘stolen’ art if not all was pulled from public social media sites
B) the artists can also make use of these tools.
I think artists need to start using it to increase their efficiency and act as a learned guider of these AI or risk losing jobs. Her point about how this is more like automating a family member than a production line is not unfair, but it doesn’t mean that grandma isn’t getting replaced, unfortunately. Artists know art which is the one thing I have over the random Joe trying to generate AI slop.
