but that was all part of god's planned, specifically allowed and orchestrated. it's not like you can say the all-knowing god didn't know it would happen, or the all-powerful god was unable to stop it.
god intentionally allowed unnecessary suffering in his creation. that is something you have to somehow square away while believing god is loving - I, a human of limited kindness and compassion wouldn't allow unnecessary suffering in a creation of mine experienced by sapient beings. why would god, a being of potentially infinite love and kindness allow it?
also the jesus substitutionary sacrifice doesn't make sense. could he not just forgive people? why is a blood sacrifice of himself, to himself, necessary? and what exactly was being fixed, seeing as the world is still filled with unnecessary suffering, and people still risk infinite torture for the 'crime' of not worshipping or even believing in god?
