Exactly. The fact that people on both sides (for and against AI) are making definitive judgements this early into the technology is thoughtless and short-sighted. People have become so used to technology advancing so quickly that they see it not working perfectly immediately and assume it's never going to work or be as good as humans.
These things take time.
