@askebe3 People like you are acting like AI critics are in denial over some grandiose technological revolution, as if everyone else will be left behind lmfao. We're just smart enough to realize how flawed it really is, because we know how it actually works. If you're doing any real programming, meaning not just making the type of stuff you could find full source code for in a 30 second google search, you're definitely not more efficient by using AI to program. AI has no idea how to use libraries that didn't exist in its dataset. AI has no idea how to code something that doesn't exist yet. I've seen time and time again people that have no idea how programming actually works post code snippets on forums going "hey look guys I asked AI to make some code for my app but it doesn't work why?" and it takes literally 5 seconds to realize the code READS like it should do something but logically doesn't actually do anything useful.
