Warning, this is my soapbox issue; 😅 Honestly, you don't need a high IQ to do this. That was my frustration with assisting in special education. Those kids often weren't allowed to do trade school because they weren't successful in a standard school setting. Now, how does that make sense? I had a kid that could fix my broken desk in two shakes with a tiny tool he remembered finding while exhibiting "problem behavior" digging through my desk drawer months earlier. He was bright and energetic, mechanically talented, but we had to BEG to get him in trades school, and every time he got a low score on even a history test, we were in danger of him losing the "privilege" of going. In my opinion, it should not be a privilege to learn a trade that could be your ONLY path to self-sufficiency.
