Its true this is a short video to a very complex problem. I would recommend you a channel thats called Jordan Harrod on this issue. She has made a couple of videos on this problem, first one being "Is AI Racist? Sometimes. | AI 103: Ethics (Part 1 of Many)". That one and the next one (104) specifically is about what this video from the Economist talks about.
