probably because calculators don't directly take from mathematicians. it's not a good example. it was even made by those mathematicians to have in it what is needed and what they have objectively discovered. unlike generative AI, which is made by anything but artists to use artist's work without their permission.
have you ever realized the reason for the dislike for the use of "talent" and the denial of it is because everyone who uses talent as an excuse are the same ones who use it to dismiss the work that is put into it? Atleast "aptitude" is a word that can also be applied to a developed skill, unlike talent, that is just used to say "you didn't earn it." Talent is objectively 2 things but is used incorrectly: 1. it's just a stepping stool at the starting line, but is almost never inherently tied to the activity or hobby, it's tied to a single aspect of it. 2. as continuation for 1, a boost is a specific aspect that can make learning the rest slightly easier or on a specific part. it's never an "abundance" realistically. it's only a push in one small aspect.
