Joy Buolamwini has presented a ton of research on this out of MIT and a few other schools connected to top algorithms and they did not intentionally make the AI racist but it was incredibly leaning that way because they had to introduce it to actual human beings and white men are the human beings creating it more than anyone else rn. It's totally overwhelming if you want to look into it, you might find it interesting
