We need to stop with the pathetic analogies. Every analogy to justify using AI image generation ignores a bunch of reasons it’s awful. Artists are not getting credited or paid when you use AI the way they would if they were working for a director. And directors are not catastrophic to the environment or building data centers in neighborhoods causing all kinds of trouble.
