@mysticmarbles I've built several generative AI tools now. Nothing for art, all for network monitoring and analysis tools, but fundamentally they function the same really. Its interesting to me that AI learns the same way students do through emulation and repetition. I think a lot of the AI problem today is due to gray area. For example, should you be allowed to sell art that uses pointillism? That was Georges Seurat's style, so should only he be allowed to use it for profit? Should digital artists be allowed to sell anything given some of the PS selection tools are derived from machine learning algorithms? Its not a matter of accepting AI, but rather how much use is acceptable. Even with the derivative issues, in theory someone can still use it to devalue your work. Thats good for the people wanting art, and bad for people making art.
