I dabble with ai the main problem with face recognition software is the limited data sets, that are mostly composed of males of European descent. And the issue with light can be easily rectified if the technology used uv insted of the visible light spectrum. And on top of all that should we as a society be ok with our law enforcement using flawed unperfected technology that will put citizens and cops for that matter in unnecessary confrontation.
