As someone who has just spent $10k on custom joinery for my boat, I agree your work may not be reproduced by AI and robotics in the near term because it is the human input that people like me are willing to pay for. But...while you are safe now, and assuming you are close to 60, for the rest of your working life, your trade is not safe. The problem is that AI will take the jobs of 99% of workers and that means those with high Discretionary income will reduce. Without customers who will they produce work for?
You will be fine. Your children and grandchildren may not be so fortunate.
