I think the idea of it is particularly threatening when you think of powerful figures using real-looking deepfakes to bully teenagers (sending the videos to them ) and also to discredit women from running in positions of power. For example , I can think of a few women who would make great political leaders because of their strong ethic of service - but this threat alone of having deepfake created to reduce credibility and sent to their families would probably discourage them completely .
