You're aware you're saying it's the AI that 'learns', right? The 'artist' doesn't. The 'artist' who uses generative is actually in the role of patron, commissioning the AI to make something for them. As an actual artist works, they learn and develop skills they can use in different media. Without generative AI, the AI 'artist' has nothing, because they haven't learned skills beyond prompting. Even inpainting is just hoping for the best. I'm sure the programs are useful for quick, who cares things, but I'm not sure why you'd avoid the creative process and learning skills if you actually want to do anything seriously. It's the AI studying at the Lourve, not you.
