the reason people call generative ai stealing is because 99% of the data that they use are in fact stolen
All original artwork, images, and such belong to the creator, and they own the copyright to said image.
If they use said artwork without permission it's stolen.
I'm not too sure about text, but most of that is taken as well from literally almost the entire internet.
Another reason people hate ai is due to the amount of water it pollutes and power consumption.
It consumes a LOT of water and power, making the electricity bills higher and potentially polluting water supplies.
I feel like you not seeing AI as a problem comes from a misunderstanding of how it works and what it costs other people than yourself for it to exist.
