Agreed. It's an elephant in the room until it can't be any longer. But, by then, it could be too late. "Don't bet against AI" has quite the foreboding ring to it given how real and devastating the problem stands to be. Awesome if things end up all sunshine and roses, but I've heard this warning come from far too many people who work on the forefront of this technology to just pick one or two dismissives of equal status because it "feels good" or whatever.
