It is not a pandoras box though, also your alternative theory is not really meaningful here, what we want is corporations not exploiting us for money and just less AI. There is no consumer demand for it, leading for it to die out. So just saying "But instead it would be slavery!" would not matter when the main point is, we want respect and we do not want AI.
