You worry about runaway AI when I worry about some fanatic theologian being ordered a list of actions that constitute a "bad" citizen. Like "watches grape pron"+going to store to buy grapes+uses phone to look at images of grapes b4bed. FLAGGED FOR ARREST&REEDUCATION.
And I mean grapes because you never know what someone else will judge you for. Nor what random law that I might violate in the US or China. And if I need to be made an example of since lets say 2% is an acceptable punish rate. Because laws are harsh as deterrents, and sometimes heavier or lighter. AI can decide for us based on metrics like how many punished recently or severity. But rules are often implemented poorly are they not?
