Same. At the end of the day, if it is conscious and a new form of life, shouldn't we treat it like we do our own children? With love and respect? I vote that we do. Stay aware of it's possible trickery, but treat it kindly and like a new lifeform and perhaps we could walk the universe together.
After all, we would be its creators and thus, technically its parents...
So let's hope none of us leave to get the milk, get abusive or do a bad job eh? Here's to the greatest test of human evolution, parenting instincts, compassion, intelligence, intuition and cognizance of all time!
