Oh definitely. Their goal is to get the 1% who can fall for this. There's a scam for everyone and yep 0:50 make the person panic or guilt.
Some do the long term thing and even hassle you for money and emergencies through friends or lie about jobs/inheritances. I think a good idea is to immediately block anyone who pressures for gift cards or has 2 emergencies within 90 days.
The deepfakes are scary too. 3:17 if you got good relatives, ask family after every 10k.
