As someone who also has spent many hours over several days just crafting and refining prompts for a SINGLE project, not counting the hours spent on experimentation with combining different checkpoints and subsequent modifiers, let me say your explanation is all but wasted on AI technophobes.
There is no room for nuance, detail, anecdotes or skill - There is only one giant shiny button we smash our faces on hundreds of times until something somewhat decent is produced, then we post it online with a $100 price tag and say it's our totally original and copyrighted work.
