I try to explain this to people a lot but it seems to go over their heads. AI isn't magic or smart, it's just intepreting a gigantic data set and using a set of prompts to generate output, it can't just keep getting better unless it keeps getting fed more (quality) data, because it doesn't have an external concept of correctness to adjust its output on.
