@TheFallenAngelWhoWas It's a significant factor, and a poison that's existed long before deepfakes. Deepfakes only represent the latest thing for the pearl clutching morality police to wield as a tool of ignorant, or malicious, harassment towards people they don't see as meeting their standards of morality and sexual "purity" (primarily targeting and traumatizing girls and women in evangelical Christian circles). As far as creating deepfakes, completely ethical and legal. The sticking point is sharing. As long as moralizing purity culture pedaling pearl clutchers have the power to ruin a person's life for having a facsimile of their likeness used in a sexual manner, public sharing of adult deepfakes is likely unethical, and should instead be kept private or in gated communities plastered with notices and disclaimers.
