It was a good idea a year ago or more, but it's not really creating any significant problems for users. AI moves so fast that you need to adapt what you're doing as well if you want to keep up.
If you're making a lora, you'd typically manually sort through 20-50 images, maybe 100 or so if you're training a big concept or several concepts. Quality is absolutely king so artefacting and resolution is the first thing you look at.
When I was making my first lora (18 images, realistic character), I spent a long time manually editing things like hair strands on ears to avoid the tendency to interpret that as earrings (SDXL, typical for that model). No way I wouldn't notice this type of thing and immediately remove it from my dataset.
