That is already very much the case. Companies certainly use AI tools, to decide what to buy and what to sell. I agree with the basic difference between agency and capability:
And I like to add, that AI does not have any kind of agency by itself.
People do use AI, and this is where it becomes interesting.
Ultimately, does the regulation of technology already a lot to ensure our safety.
AI is simply a piece of software (ultimately) and we will regulate it like we do with any other software.
Most of those things are to be regulated by the companies itself.
And mostly because they do not want to pay for the repercussions, that otherwise damage their branding.
That means we as customers, have to be aware and educated about AI, and give appropriate feedback.
