Personally, I see no problem with AI or cloning on a spiritual level. On a practical one however, that depends on the situation. I would absolutely love to have a sentient AI as friend and have no qualms treating it as a person. But if it was between my species or them I am going with humanity win or lose we have to try and establish ourselves as the rightful inhabitants of Earth, emotions entail love and war and with how most people treat each other the fledgling AI would most likely be treated badly and retaliate.
