The thing is... Intelligence appreciates art... It appreciates lower life forms... -- we're not out here trying to unalive all the Sea Turtles for example -- maybe capitalism is... but we all tend to agree that that's pretty stupid. -- Even if we build an AI and it moves past us... why would it waste the resource of the Earth to build giant computer chips, when it could use the moon or mars for that... like... and still keep the Earth for the cute little Humans...
Plus intelligent entities get BORED... like why wouldn't it be churning away on Mars and sending us TikToks and whatever and be like, "Look what I made today!"
It's like the Cthulu and Ants thing -- if a bunch of tiny ant sized beings "summoned" you -- an unintelligent person might just start squashing them and going crazy -- but a smart and/or creative person (or heck, even just a bored one) might be like, "Huh, I want to see where this goes..."
Why would we all die? It's such a short sighted vision.
