A big problem is AI and automation is being developed and pushed by tech startups who have little to no knowledge or experience in the areas that they are trying to change in such a massive way. They could make these things better and work for us but they are so short sighted they see total domination as the only result that shows they have succeeded. They are only driven (no pun intended) by profit. Not safety, not improving lives, just money and power.
