If you think these lawsuits are going to save artists and stick it to the techbros, you're a flipping moron.
Artists are the ones getting hurt *the most* if any of this succeeds. The likes of Disney and Universal are suing AI companies not because they don't like AI being used on their work but because that's a trojan to make it so they are the *only* ones with access to AI, throwing the professional art business back to the mid 1990s when things like 3d software and professional digital art tools were prohibitively expensive and to even have access to it most would have to go through art college, getting in debt for a degree they're not sure would pay off.
