I see your points in why ai image generators are bad but is cutting off a giant field of computer science really worth it? I agree ai images are a huge issue but there are many better ways to prevent it. We could work together to get social media platforms to ban the images without the proper tags or fence off an area to ai images. Now I’m not against poisoning the models but I still think that the path that almost every artist wants to go down is unnecessary. Please just spread the word, not that we shouldn’t poison the models but, we should raise awareness to big social medias (eg; Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube, etc). Again I’m not saying that I want people to go out and try to take art from artists who spent hours and possibly days to work on something they love, I’m just saying destroying ai image generation all together isn’t the only path we can take. Sincerely, a silly software man
