So naive! The chatBot is generative and has no opinions, beliefs, or goals (other than to emit a word stream). What it demonstrates is how trivially is the assessment by human beings of word streams. We accept a stream of words that was created by a model of predictive relevance to be a sign of "intelligence." The lesson here is that we as Observers imbue something with "intelligence." We need to radically elevate our evaluative criteria or we will fall into a terrible hell of confusion.
