I got FSD for my Tesla about a year ago and never looked back. The only driving I've done in that time is park the car, and as of recently I don't even do that any more. Not sure about Waymo, but I don't think self driving cars are doomed. They're actually pretty awesome. Like actual sci-fi come to life.
