AI is a tool, mainly. If people use AI to make art for themselves just for fun. They don't try to monetize it or pass it off as theirs then I feel that's okay. It sounds like the main problem are people who try to make money off it or claim it was something they created from scratch. I've messed with AI just for myself. I don't claim AI is the end all be all for all art in the end since it can never replace human skill and talent. If you don't support AI that's fine, but it's going to be used regardless without your involvement. Us calling it out and giving it negative attention is the same as supporting it, its still engagement that encourages them to keep going. Ignore these pretentious 'artists' who are trying to pretend it's theirs and they'll stop, since they aren't making money off it.
