something important to keep in mind here (in regards to the point about disability) is this: *the people who make these points care as much about disabled people as much as transphobes care about women's sports.* we all know the random crusty old men who came out of the woodwork to get trans women banned from women's sports don't actually care about women's sports at all, they just use it as a crutch to hurt trans women, I don't talk about it the other 99% of the time. it's the same principle here: the people making these arguments aren't disabled, certainly not in any way that would stop them from making art. they do not talk about disability rights and activism outside of AI, and they certainly don't talk to disabled people (let alone disabled artists) about their thoughts on the matter. oftentimes they will actively do and say things that are hurtful to disabled people without even realizing it, because they don't care about disabilities except when they can be used as a crutch to make their arguments
