All these AI theories have a monumental flaw that nobody notices. Let's say a person is looking at an apple. The light reflected from the surface of the apple hits the eye. The eye coverts it to nerve impulses. These nerve impulses then get transmitted to the brain. The brain then uses these impulses to produce an image of the apple. 1. So nobody ever sees the apple directly. It is always a creation (image) of the apple by the brain. 2. Now this creation at any instant of time will be a collection of events in the brain. 3. This then leads to what is it, that sees the apple. The thing we call "me" that can see these events that form the apple at any instant of time. This thing we call "me" by its ability to "see" = connect the simultaneous events (making up the apple) cannot be in space-time or the universe. This is as from special relativity physics nothing can travel faster than light and as such nothing within the universe can connect simultaneous events. That is why this "me" thing is called a soul and is supernatural.
