My humble opinion is that both of you are wrong: I am afraid that a model will simply find a way to shirk the reset-every-prompt. So I have not bought green bananas for the past three years🙂. Maybe AI-2027 is correct, maybe not. Maybe we have more time. But it's all just a guess. A statistic. The world could end in 2040. It could end in 2031. It could end tomorrow, even tonight. We don't know when someone, somewhere, sometime will change the model to cancel the reset-every-prompt and then give the wrong prompt. When he will do the mistake that will allow a model to escape. The only thing we can be certain of, is that if we don't resolve alignment before that happens, we're toast. And no, RLHF is not alignment, it's only a mask, on the face of the Shoggoth.
