AI is taking data from another artwork. Data that codes for colour, saturation, brightness... it's the same thing with humans taking inspirzfrom another artwork. Just that people are taking much more than just raw date. They also take emotions from other paintings. Emotions of the original artist. So imho AI is taking less from other artworks than people have been doing for all of human history.
