I've heard a very convincing argument, saying that the real reason why conservatives and right-wingers (like Shad) are so horny for "AI art" (apart from the obvious capitalist motivation) is that it takes control out of the hands of actual artists, who are overwhelmingly liberal, progressive, and left leaning. Historically (Nazi-Germany) the idea on the Right is that once they control the art they control the artists and with it have the power to suppress "rebellious" leftist ideas and movements born in the well educated "woke" artistic and student circles, that have the real potential to stop them from taking total control of populations.
