Everything related to these new AI technologies being made available to the public are always bad news. Deepfake porn, writers being laid off, artists' paintings being used without permission, misinformation, students cheating, teachers accusing students of cheating... Why do we need these things? What's the good these technologies brought us? It really just feels like these things just made everything worse and all we got in return was some okay looking images and some well written texts that may or may not be accurate.
Doesn't seem like a good tradeoff.
