The problem with AI just as with most tools isn't the tool, but that people who control it is a bunch narcissistic grifters that are in a race to become trillionaires whatever the cost to humanity is. There was a time when business owners drew a lot of satisfaction from being able to provide jobs and a living to as many people as they can.
