Most of this "copyrighted" artwork is publicly viewable. We don't have a problem with humans looking at it, so why should AI be any different? AI and humans don't learn the same, but It's not like it's just merging images; AI learns to draw from observation. It learns shadows, perspective, colors, and more. It may create similar work, but so do humans. I think this hatred towards AI is a little misguided; the real concern should be that AI is taking your job, not that the AI exists. Artists should be able to do what they love without fear of homelessness or starvation. AI can improve lives, but in a capitalist society it creates insecurity. The solution is socialism or UBI, not halting progress.
