One of the problems is that this tech is like not just a two prong problem but like a billion prong problem. To effectively combat ai chatbots preying on teens it would take a massive shift in parents and teachers teaching their kids about online safety, media literacy, and all sorts of stuff. It's literally the perfect storm of evil. Coming in at a time when young people are most lonely, least educated about media literacy, parents are more disconnected from how this tech works than ever, and more willing to offload their kids onto tech to keep them busy in an increasingly exhausting and unlivable world. It's so scary and daunting. Thank you for covering this case. It's one we all need to think about more
