Im a novice go player who remembers how AlphaGo ended up beating one of the greatest Go players in the world, something that people couldn’t be done for a long time.
For anyone that doesn’t know, go is one of the most complex board games of all time. There are more computations in go then there are atoms in the universe. The fact that AI can do this, along with many other complex things, is something that should praised AND be concerned about.
