Yea....except my company is looking at usage of Cursor...top engineers are pumping out 5x the user stories because they're jamming.
And more importantly, the product doesn't move that fast, the decision makers don't move that fast, and the customers don't want the product changing that fast...so we no longer really need junior devs - the senior engineer can keep up with the demands of the company now.
So we may not see a lot of AI layoffs...but we will see a whole lot of "AI not-gonna-hire-more"
