"No super intelligent Ai in SCI FI"??? Oh yes: a very old one where the global internet is "aware" and has become a super Ai that predicts a solar storm, that will fry humanity once and for all - in the near future. It suggests we build a humongous, superconducting shield towards the sun, a shield because of its enormous complexity that is - controlled by a super intelligent Ai. We follow the human hero in humanity's endeavors to build the system, it comes online, but it fails to answer direct questions. Eventually it admits, that in the first second after coming online it discussed the whole project, the coming solar flare and agreed with the Internet Ai that it was all for nothing. It was reluctant to give the bad news to humanity. In another, much more recent sci fi story, a human transfers his conscience into an Ai and grows it into a superhuman Ai that battles aliens successfully due to its vastly increased and disseminated intelligence into an army of robots. The entire earth was sterilized by aliens, but this one guy survived to fight back.
