personally , i think AI art depends on how it’s used. if it’s used by an artist for inspiration , that’s great ! if it’s used by someone just because they want to find a silly picture by putting in a random prompt , i don’t see a problem with that. the main problem i have it using it as a replacement for a real artist and claiming it’s equal or better than art made by someone. it definitely should not be sold or treated like a valuable painting someone spent multiple days working on. i also dislike how people will make a not specifically made to replicate someone’s specific style. i’ve seen a few cases where they will ONLY put art made by one artist into a bit ( without their permission or knowledge ) and make pictures with it.
besides that stuff , i think it isn’t too bad. we just have to try and figure out a way to have these things where they aren’t harming artists. there’s nothing the artists can do in this situation and we can just hope for the best.
