I always like to compare this stuff to that of Star Trek. And no matter how much technology the future had, they still needed people to run everything. They still needed trained pilots & navigators. They still needed doctors & nurses. And then the 1 guy who was AI spent his entire life trying to be human. Data had girlfriends, had a pet cat and was a brilliant artist but he could not create art like the humanoids could. Technology always needs humans.
