I think most of the people still believe that the politicians, governments, leaders are there to mind their people. Or at least to don't harm their people. I think our number has always been the threat to the wealthiest and powerful. They'll chase super AI just to get rid of as many of regular people as possible, and let survive only some of us, so their wealth streams are still flowing but the people are utterly controlled. No riots, no risks for the wealthy. Where's no ethics, there shouldn't be any power. Were experiencing now what happens when the power gets into greedy hands.
